Your first steps into the ocean this year have never been so cold! The Polar Bear Plunge invites all ages to participate and be bold. First timers and yearly regulars are encouraged to enroll, as the plunge seeks thousands to reach their goal.

Come support athletes of Special Olympics Delaware by jumping into the frigid sea! Last year, 3,252 participants reached $725,000. Over the years, the Polar Bear Plunge has raised a total of 7.5 million dollars for Special Olympics Delaware.

That’s not all! This fun-filled weekend includes several other family activities to gear up for the plunge. These include a free chili contest at local restaurants all weekend long, a 5K walk/run on Saturday, and a pooch parade/plunge for all those dogs eager to get their paws wet.

Register now, as this event will take place in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, January 30 thru February 1. The actual plunge itself will take place at 1pm on Sunday, February 1.

Invite your friends and bring your family! You’ll all be freezin’ for a reason! Visit http://www.plungede.org/

New Year's Eve

As the busiest holiday season of the year approaches, don’t forget to schedule your New Year's Eve plans and bring in 2015 with a bang!

Come to Rehoboth Beach where the town is full of holiday spirit. Make plans to attend the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center Gala or at one of our abundant local restaurants in town.

Restaurants such as Dogfish Head are toasting to 2015 a bit different this year. They will be shutting down the Rehoboth brew pub completely with a ticketed event. Enjoy live music, all you can eat food stations, six complementary beverages, party favors, and more! Click here for more information and to purchase tickets.

Looking for something outside of town? Head on over to our neighboring celebrations located in Dewey Beach. The Rusty Rudder and the Lighthouse will both be hosting the annual NYE celebrations. For the Lighthouse pay $50 and participate in hor d’oeuvres, a champagne toast, party favors, and an open bar from 9pm to midnight!

These exclusive events take place only once a year and what a better way to celebrate the New Year than at the ocean. Visit Hotel Rehoboth, for weekend discount packages so you can make this years holiday a special one.
