The weekend of February 6th marks the annual Polar Bear Plunge, in Rehoboth Beach Delaware, where thousands of plungers gather together for a touch of madness and a common goal: Benefitting Special Olympics Delaware.
Preceding plunge festivities is a 5k Run to the Plunge, where participants will meet on the avenue of Rehoboth and end along the boardwalk to gear up for the ultimate rush of excitement. The fun starts Saturday at 1pm, culminating with the Lewes Plunge Sunday at 1pm. Post dip celebrations include Ice sculpting demonstrations, Restaurant Chili Contest, Polar Ice Cream Throwdown and so much more.
Over the years, the event has inspired thousands of caring and daring people to show some camaraderie by jumping into the ocean for a good cause. Last year, Delaware plungers raised $404, 742 – the biggest turnout yet! Help make 2016 an even bigger success. Register today by clicking here!
