Tree Lighting Tradition

The Holidays are right around the corner and Rehoboth Beach is kicking things off with the annual tree lighting and sing-a-long. Taking place Friday, November 25th at 6:30pm, gather around as families, friends, and neighbors all come together to ring in the holiday season.

Festivities take place at the bandstand on Rehoboth Avenue, and children will get the chance to peak into Santa’s House if they get there early enough. Christmas carols and the holiday sing-a-long will set the stage for the official tree lighting at 7pm. Be sure to arrive a few minutes before, as you won’t want to miss our 40-foot tree illuminate the town.

Come early & stay late. After the tree is lit, enjoy dinner with friends or holiday shopping downtown. For more information visit www.downtownrb.com.

Rehoboth Beach kicks off Christmas

Christmas

Whether you’re here to stay or here for a day, don’t miss the charm of Rehoboth Beach around the holidays. As the season quiets down, our quaint little town gears up for Christmas with family fun activities all month long!

This is the time of year to take an evening stroll down Rehoboth Avenue appreciating the decorative lights and beautiful embellishments displayed by business owners and the town.

Proceeding the day after Thanksgiving, Rehoboth Beach kicks off the fun with it’s annual holiday tree lighting and sing-a-long - starting at 6:30pm. This hometown tradition brings families and friends together welcoming the holiday spirit. Bundled in blankets and sipping on hot chocolate, sing your favorite Christmas carols as the tree becomes lit.

Also, don’t miss Santa’s House on the Boardwalk. Starting the same day as the tree lighting. Santa’s house will be open each weekend leading up to Christmas. Bring the family and tell Santa your Christmas wish list. What more could bring a smile to a child’s face than getting to see the one and only Santa Claus! Click here for visiting hours. Santa’s house will be on the Rehoboth Boardwalk at the end of Rehoboth Avenue. There is no charge to visit; donations are appreciated.

If that’s not enough, extend your stay for the Hometown Christmas Parade Tuesday night December 2nd from 6:30 to 8:00pm. Decorative parade floats and community members from all over will be riding through the parade. All parade participants and watchers are invited to Convention Hall after the parade for refreshments and a visit from Santa.

Bring your friends, bring your family, and have a very Merry Christmas.
